A Partnership Forged in Paint
In 1994, RustBusters Industrial Painting Inc. was established, started by Augustus Cornelius and Mike Gravitt. Both brought their own skills when they met at Reliable Painting and decided to start a company together, located at 2100 Federal Rd. Augustus Cornelius, also known as Sport, brought great work quality to the oil field industry, while Mike Gravitt brought his estimating skills to the wastewater projects.
In 1995 Michael Camacho started working for Rustbusters as a helper for 2 years. Then went to Texas A&M Kingsville for his Engineering Degree. After Graduation Michael came back in 2002 and started to be a Safety Coordinator/Apprentice Estimator. Then in 2005 Michael got promoted to Project Manager.
Leadership Transition and Onsite Expansion
In 2004, Mike Gravitt separated from the company, and it was left to Augustus Cornelius to resume all work under him. Later in 2005, the company was given the opportunity to work at 6750 Bender Rd with Advance Rig Services (ARS) to provide strictly onsite services for sandblasting and painting.
Transportation for Enhanced Customer Service
In 2013, RustBusters Industrial Painting Inc. started a sister company called RBIP Transportation (HOTSHOT) LLC. This company was created to give our customers a better price and expedite items shipped onsite or offsite to be painted.
