RustBusters Industrial Painting Inc. was founded in 1994 by Augustus “Sport” Cornelius, a skilled professional known for delivering high-quality work in the oil field industry. The company was established in Houston Tx with a commitment to excellence in industrial coating services.
In 1995, Michael Camacho joined RustBusters as a helper. After two years, he left to pursue an Engineering degree at Texas A&M University–Kingsville. Upon graduating in 2002, he returned to the company as a Safety Coordinator and Apprentice Estimator. By 2005, he was promoted to Project Manager, contributing to the company’s continued growth.
Leadership Transition and Onsite Expansion
In 2005, RustBusters expanded its operations by partnering with Advance Rig Services (ARS) at 6750 Bender Rd, providing dedicated onsite sandblasting and painting services.
Transportation for Enhanced Customer Service
In 2013, RustBusters Industrial Painting Inc. started a sister company called RBIP Transportation (HOTSHOT) LLC. This company was created to give our customers a better price and expedite items shipped onsite or offsite to be painted.
